BioACS in Moscow Healthcare Facilities

Equipping leading healthcare facilities in Moscow with an advanced access control and management solution featuring biometric identification, based on Concept Plus, Contour Classic, and Resonance RT smart turnstiles.

A large-scale project is underway in Moscow to equip healthcare facilities with access control and management systems featuring biometric identification. The project aims to enhance security and advance the digitalization of the city’s healthcare institutions.

As part of the project, the healthcare facilities needed to be equipped with advanced access control equipment supporting biometric identification, with integration into the existing access control system and the regional segment of the Unified Biometric System (UBS).



Infomatika was tasked with the following objectives:

  • Ensure controlled access to healthcare facilities with visitor identification using facial biometrics and access cards;
  • Adapt the design of the access control equipment to support biometric identification;
  • Integrate the smart turnstiles with the facility’s access control system and the regional segment of the Unified Biometric System (UBS);
  • Ensure that the implemented solution complies with the requirements of Federal Law No. 572-FZ “On Biometrics.”


    Infomatika serves as the project’s technology partner, providing the manufacturing and supply of access control equipment. The devices feature a modern, ergonomic design and high throughput capacity.

    To support biometric identification, Infomatika engineers adapted the equipment design to the specific features of each model.


    Key Project Components:

    • Contour Classic Smart Turnstiles. Used as part of the biometric access control system (BioACS) to provide controlled entry. To support biometric identification, Infomatika engineers modified the turnstile’s top cover to accommodate a terminal with an integrated display.
    • Concept Plus Smart Turnstiles. These waist-high tripod smart turnstiles feature a built-in display that shows the camera video feed during biometric identification.
    • Resonance RT Smart Turnstiles. Equipped with built-in TFT information displays for showing live video feeds from the cameras.
    • Concept DUO Smart Gates. Automated waist-high gates made of stainless steel and tempered glass, designed to provide convenient access for visitors with reduced mobility.
    • Card Collectors. Used as part of the access control system to collect single-use visitor cards.

     

    The system has been successfully integrated with: 

    • RUBEZH STRAZH — the core access control platform;
    • On-site access control systems;
    • The regional segment of the Unified Biometric System (UBS).

      Particular attention was paid to regulatory compliance. The project fully complies with the requirements of Federal Law No. 572-FZ “On Biometrics.”

        Future Development 

        The project continues to evolve and expand, creating new opportunities to further enhance security systems across Moscow’s healthcare facilities.

        The implementation of advanced access control technologies not only improves security but also contributes to the broader digital transformation of the city’s healthcare sector.

        This project demonstrates how innovative technologies can effectively address security challenges at critical social infrastructure facilities.


        Scope of Supply:

        - Manufacturing and supply of Contour Classic waist-high swing-gate smart turnstiles — 70 lanes;

        - Manufacturing and supply of Concept Plus automatic tripod smart turnstiles — 33 lanes;

        - Manufacturing and supply of Resonance RT waist-high swing-gate smart turnstiles — 21 lanes;

        - Manufacturing and supply of a Rotor 2ID full-height outdoor smart turnstile;

        - Manufacturing and supply of Concept DUO waist-high smart gates — 7 units;

        - Manufacturing and supply of Access Card Collectors for collecting single-use access cards — 28 units;

        - Integration with the RUBEZH STRAZH access control system and the regional segment of the Unified Biometric System (UBS).
