Schools in Moscow and the Moscow region

A unique project to improve the security and digitalization of schools is being implemented in Moscow and the Moscow Region. The initiator is the Department of Information Technology of the Moscow Government (DIT). As part of the city's "Electronic Card Access and Meals" system, schools are equipped with modern access control equipment and automated attendance records.

Infomatika Company acts as a technological partner of the project, providing the production and supply of ACS equipment adapted to the specifics of the school environment. To date, 2,822 devices have been produced as part of the project, and more than 300 schools in the capital are equipped with the equipment. These are smart turnstiles of the Vector and Contour Bio series, smart gates of the Concept, as well as fencing systems.

Features of solutions

The line of equipment designed specifically for the project's objectives takes into account the behavioral characteristics of children and the architectural limitations of schools. Smart turnstiles combine a compact design, high traffic capacity, and a user-friendly interface with visual light cues that make it easy for schoolchildren to pass through.

The equipment supports all modern identification methods:

– Contactless cards and wristbands;
– QR-codes and barcodes;
– NFC and BLE-tags;
– Optional biometric identification.

At the customer’s request, each device has been equipped with ESMART®Reader modules supporting NFC and BLE technologies, enabling smartphone-based access without the need for physical cards.

All devices are fully integrated with the “Access and Meals via Electronic Card” system and the local access control infrastructure (ACS). This enables the “Moskvyonok” card to function as a student’s digital ID:

• Admission to an educational institution. The card is used as an electronic key to enter and exit the school, which increases security. 

• Informing parents. The system allows parents to track their child's arrival and departure time from school, as well as their spending in the cafeteria, through a mobile application.

All installed equipment is connected to a centralized monitoring system, which allows you to monitor their technical condition in real time. Such diagnostics helps to identify and prevent possible malfunctions in a timely manner, increasing the reliability and uninterrupted operation of the equipment.
