Letovo Junior School, Moscow

Letovo Junior is a new campus within the Letovo School educational ecosystem, opened in Moscow in 2025 for students in Grades 1–9. Designed for 960 students, the campus brings together academic, scientific, creative, and sports facilities, including modern classrooms and laboratories, a robotics center, a recording studio, sports complexes, and flexible multipurpose spaces. The project builds on the educational model of Letovo School, which holds international IB accreditation and ranks among Russia’s leading private schools in terms of academic performance and infrastructure.

When developing the new campus, particular attention was given to security and the building’s technological infrastructure. The entrance areas required an access control solution supporting identification by both access card and facial biometrics, with biometric identification implemented in compliance with the requirements of Federal Law No. 572-FZ.

Infomatika was tasked with the following objectives:

• Provide access control at the entrance areas of the new campus;
• Enable access using both access cards and facial biometrics;
• Ensure accessible entry for visitors with reduced mobility;
• Ensure that biometric identification complies with the requirements of Federal Law No. 572-FZ.

Infomatika implemented a project to equip the school’s new campus with modern access control and management equipment. The project was delivered in collaboration with technology partner Speech Technology Center (STC), a developer of solutions in speech technologies, facial recognition, and voice biometrics.


Key Project Components:

• Contour Bio Smart Turnstiles. Installed at the security checkpoint in front of the building’s main entrance. The smart turnstiles were additionally equipped with Vizir.ACS biometric terminals by STC Group, featuring facial recognition and enabling two identification methods: facial biometrics and access cards. Since the upper section of the turnstiles is made of tempered glass, Infomatika specialists developed a custom metal mounting structure for the terminals and cabling, allowing the devices to be integrated without compromising the integrity of the glass.
• Concept DUO Automated Smart Gates. At the security checkpoint, the gates provide accessible passage for visitors with reduced mobility. Additional gates are installed at the reception area to provide access for school staff and can be remotely controlled from the security station.

Integrations

The installed equipment is integrated with the RUBEZH STRAZH access control system.

To enable biometric access, the smart turnstiles were additionally equipped with Vizir.ACS biometric terminals developed by STC Group.

    

The installed smart turnstiles became the first solution for educational institutions in Russia to fully comply with the requirements of Federal Law No. 572-FZ of December 29, 2022, on biometrics. The law permits biometric data to be processed only through the Unified Biometric System (UBS) or accredited commercial biometric systems. In this project, Sber’s Commercial Biometric System (CBS) is used — one of Russia’s largest accredited biometric data operators.

Scope of Supply:

• Manufacturing, delivery, and installation of Contour Bio waist-high swing-gate smart turnstiles — 6 lanes (8 units);

• Manufacturing, delivery, and installation of Concept DUO automated smart gates — 7 units;

• Integration with the RUBEZH STRAZH access control system;

• Installation and integration of Vizir.ACS biometric terminals;

• Equipment commissioning.
