KFU Advanced IT Lyceum, Kazan
Equipping the educational institution’s entrance area with a modern access control and management system based on Contour Bio smart turnstiles featuring built-in IP cameras for facial recognition.

The KFU Advanced IT Lyceum is a division of Kazan Federal University and an innovative educational institution for talented students. The Lyceum opened on September 1, 2012, at the initiative of Rais (Head) of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and is located within the Universiade Village. Students receive advanced instruction in mathematics, computer science, physics, chemistry, biology, and English. According to independent graduate competitiveness rankings, the Lyceum ranks among the top 100 schools in Russia.
The academic building and boarding facility required a modern access control and management system supporting multiple user identification methods, including facial recognition.
Infomatika was tasked with the following objectives:
- Provide controlled access to the academic building and boarding facility using contactless access cards and barcodes;
- Enable biometric identification using facial recognition technology.
Infomatika specialists equipped the entrance areas of the academic building and boarding facility with Contour Bio waist-high swing-gate smart turnstiles. To enable biometric identification, the project was implemented in collaboration with technology partner VisionLabs.
- Contour Bio Smart Turnstiles. Waist-high swing-gate smart turnstiles equipped with IP cameras for facial recognition. Access to the facility is provided using biometric data (facial recognition), barcodes, and contactless access cards.
- Half-Height Fencing for ACS. Defines access zones and guides users through the entrance control equipment.
Integrations
To enable biometric access, the smart turnstiles are integrated with the VisionLabs facial recognition system. The project was implemented in partnership with VisionLabs, a company specializing in facial recognition and analytics technologies.
- Manufacturing, delivery, and installation of Contour Bio smart turnstiles — 2 lanes (3 units);
- Manufacturing, delivery, and installation of Half-Height Fencing for ACS.
