Kuzbass Arena is a multifunctional sports and entertainment complex in Kemerovo, covering 54,000 square meters and accommodating 7,493 spectators. The complex hosts volleyball and football matches, as well as competitions in 24 sports. Its facilities include 18 sports halls, a 50-meter swimming pool, a standing-wave pool for surf training, and a vertical wind tunnel. Around 2,000 people use the complex’s sports facilities daily. Kuzbass Arena is the home venue of Kuzbass Volleyball Club, the base of the KUZBASS Tennis Center, and a training venue for Russia’s national parachuting team.

The complex’s multifunctional nature and diverse event formats required a unified ticketing and access control infrastructure to automate ticket and season pass sales, manage visitor access, and connect with external services.

Infomatika was responsible for the following tasks:

  • Automate ticket and season pass sales for sporting and entertainment events;
  • Provide visitor access control at the complex’s entrances;
  • Provide access for visitors with reduced mobility;
  • Enable mobile ticket validation;
  • Integrate the ticketing and access control system with external sales agents and a facial recognition system;
  • Install server infrastructure and set up automated staff workstations.

Infomatika specialists comprehensively equipped Kuzbass Arena with a hardware and software solution based on the LENTA-Sport automated system. The solution brought ticket sales and visitor access control together within a unified management system.

Key Project Components

  • LENTA-Sport Automated Ticketing and Access Control System. Automates ticketing processes, from ticket and season pass sales to visitor entry. The system combines software modules, server equipment, automated staff workstations, and access control equipment.
  • Horizon Smart Turnstiles. Pedestal-type waist-height turnstiles installed at the complex’s entrances to control visitor access. The turnstiles feature camera enclosures with visual guidance indicators for the video identification system.
  • Navigare Gate. Installed at the entrance to provide access for visitors with reduced mobility.
  • Lenta-TSD Mobile Terminals. Used by stewards for additional ticket checks and mobile access control during events.
  • Online Ticket Store. Enables online ticket sales for events at Kuzbass Arena.

Integration

Integration gateways connect LENTA-Sport with external sales agents and the facial recognition system.

System Management Infrastructure

Server infrastructure was installed to support the ticketing and access control system. Automated staff workstations were set up: 2 cashier workstations, 1 manager-administrator workstation, and 1 central system node workstation.
