MAU "Ice Palace", Cherepovets

The Ice Palace is a key sports and cultural venue in Cherepovets and the home arena of Severstal Hockey Club. The venue hosts Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) games, concerts, and other large-scale events. In 2025, its outdated access control infrastructure required modernization to meet current standards for security, throughput, and visitor comfort.

Key Project Objectives:

• modernize the existing access control infrastructure;
• ensure fast and secure spectator entry during peak periods;
• provide access control for spectators, accredited persons, and technical staff within a unified system;
• implement dedicated access scenarios for visitors with reduced mobility and VIP box guests;
• equip staff with mobile ticket validation devices;
• provide centralized equipment management.

Infomatika specialists implemented the Spectator Access Control System (SACS) for spectators, accredited persons, and technical staff. The system is included in the Russian Software Registry.

• Spectator Access Control System (SACS). Provides centralized access management for different categories of visitors and staff. Supports validation of tickets, QR codes, digital wallet passes, and MIFARE cards, as well as secure storage of transaction and user activity data. The system can be integrated with ticketing systems, security software, marketing tools, and analytics modules.

• Vector Plus Smart Turnstiles. Installed at the main entrance areas to handle the primary flow of spectators. Support identification using contactless cards, barcodes and QR codes, biometric data, as well as BLE and NFC tags. In anti-panic mode, the rotating arms fold down to provide an unobstructed exit for visitors.

• Vector Gate Smart Gate. Designed to provide convenient access for visitors with reduced mobility and supports multiple identification methods. In the event of an emergency, the gate automatically unlocks to provide an unobstructed exit.

• Flagman Lite Smart Turnstile. Provides dedicated access for VIP box guests. The built-in display shows access status, reasons for access denial, and service notifications, while the integrated light indicators guide visitors through the entry process and alert staff to unauthorized access attempts.

• Lenta-TSD Mobile Ticket Validation Terminals. Used by stewards to validate tickets in different areas of the venue. Their mobile format enables additional access control points to be deployed based on current visitor flow and demand.

System Management Infrastructure

A dedicated administrator workstation was installed for centralized system management. It enables real-time monitoring of equipment operation and entrance area occupancy, management of access control devices, and report generation.

Scope of Supply

• Manufacture and supply of 19 Vector Plus smart turnstiles;
• manufacture and supply of 1 Flagman Lite smart turnstile;
• manufacture and supply of 1 Vector Gate smart gate;
• supply of 5 Lenta-TSD mobile ticket validation terminals;
• supply of a barrier system;
• supply of equipment for 1 administrator workstation;
• commissioning of the equipment.
