Sila Vody swimming pool, Izhevsk

Sila Vody Swimming Pool opened in Izhevsk in September 2021 as part of the Zenit Cultural and Sports Complex. The facility includes a 50-meter, 10-lane swimming pool, a 12-meter children’s pool, a dryland swimming training hall, a gym, and other facilities. Designed to Olympic standards, the pool supports professional athlete training and competitions.

The complex can accommodate up to 140 visitors per session, while the spectator stands seat 600 people. At the time of its opening, Sila Vody was the largest facility built in Udmurtia in the preceding 50 years.

The project required automated access control for the sports complex using two visitor identification methods: biometrics and access cards.

Infomatika was responsible for the following tasks:

• Equip the entrance area for automated access control;
• Enable visitor access using biometric identification and MIFARE access cards;
• Integrate the installed equipment with the venue’s existing BOLID access control system.

Infomatika specialists equipped the pool’s entrance area with Contour Bio waist-height swing smart turnstiles featuring integrated IP cameras for facial recognition, along with mechanical gates and tempered glass barriers.

Key Project Components

• Contour Bio Smart Turnstiles. Waist-height swing turnstiles with integrated IP cameras for facial recognition. They provide automated access control using biometric identification or MIFARE access cards.
• VisionLabs Facial Recognition System. Identifies visitors biometrically as they pass through the turnstiles.
• Mechanical Gates and Tempered Glass Barriers. Installed at the complex’s entrance to define the visitor passage area.

Integration

Contour Bio smart turnstiles are integrated with the venue’s BOLID access control system. The VisionLabs facial recognition system provides biometric visitor identification.

Scope of Work:

• Manufacture and installation of Contour Bio waist-height swing smart turnstiles — 2 passage lanes using 3 turnstile units;
• Manufacture and installation of mechanical gates and tempered glass barriers;
• Integration with the BOLID access control system;
• Equipment commissioning.
