Veb Arena, Moscow
Comprehensive outfit of the stadium's outer perimeter with spectator access control system (SACS).
Outfit and customization of the stadium SACS in accordance with the new requirements and specifications of the Fan Identification System (FIS).
VEB Arena is a sports complex in Moscow and the home stadium of CSKA Moscow Football Club. Opened in 2016, the arena has a capacity of 30,114 spectators. It hosts Russian and international football matches, including UEFA competitions, as well as concerts and other large-scale events.
In 2022, Infomatika carried out a comprehensive project to equip and upgrade VEB Arena in accordance with the requirements of the Fan Identification System (FIS).
To meet regulatory requirements, the stadium was equipped with SEACS LENTA, adapted to FIS requirements. An information security subsystem was also added.
Infomatika was responsible for the following tasks:
- Upgrade the spectator access control system to meet FIS requirements;
- Integrate the stadium’s ticketing and access control system with FIS;
- Adapt outer perimeter equipment to new access control scenarios;
- Ensure the required level of information security;
- Enable centralized equipment management and monitoring.
Key Project Components
- SEACS LENTA. Automates verification of stadium access rights and controls entrance equipment. The software is deployed on a fault-tolerant server cluster.
- Full-Height Turnstiles. Dual-lane and single-lane full-height turnstiles are installed along the stadium’s outer perimeter. The equipment features interactive control modules and monitoring devices in accordance with FIS requirements.
- Full-Height Gates. Provide access for visitors with reduced mobility and feature the equipment required to operate within the upgraded spectator access control system.
- Staff Workstations. Enable venue personnel to manage and monitor system operations.
- Fault-Tolerant Server Cluster. Supports the spectator access control software and improves system reliability.
Integration
SEACS LENTA is integrated with the Fan Identification System. To ensure information security, Infomatika specialists developed a threat model and an adversary model and added an information security subsystem.
Under these requirements, fans, organizers, media representatives, and even players are only allowed to enter the stadium upon presentation of a Fan Card to ensure maximum security during matches.
The upgrade was carried out in accordance with Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs Order No. 1092 dated November 17, 2015, and Russian Ministry of Sport Order No. 676 dated August 22, 2022.
Scope of Work:
- detailed engineering design;
- Development of a threat model and an adversary model;
- Deployment of a fault-tolerant server cluster and SEACS LENTA software;
- integration with FIS;
- supply, installation, commissioning of 37 two-pass and 14 one-pass full-height turnstiles, full-height gates for handicapped people and equipping them with interactive control modules and monitoring devices in accordance with FIS requirements;
- Addition of an information security subsystem;
- Supply of staff workstations.
Project Expansion in 2026
In 2026, Infomatika continued to expand the spectator access control system at VEB Arena. As part of the upgrade, an additional exit from the stadium’s parking area was equipped with access control equipment.
A Rotor 2ID single-lane full-height turnstile was installed to provide controlled exit and integrated with the stadium’s existing spectator access control system.
