VTB Arena, Moscow
Implemented in 2022.
VTB Arena is a multifunctional sports and entertainment complex in Moscow, comprising the Lev Yashin Dynamo Central Stadium, a multipurpose indoor arena, and the Arena Plaza shopping center. The central stadium has a capacity of 33,000 spectators, while the indoor arena accommodates 14,000 people. The complex hosts football matches, sporting competitions, concerts, and other large-scale events.
In 2022, Infomatika carried out a comprehensive project to equip and upgrade the stadium at VTB Arena in accordance with the requirements of the Fan Identification System (FIS).
Infomatika was responsible for the following tasks:
- Upgrade the existing spectator access control system to meet FIS requirements;
- Enable integration of the spectator access control system with FIS;
- Adapt existing access points to meet FIS requirements;
- Equip the spectator access control system with additional information security measures.
As part of the project, Infomatika upgraded the existing SEACS LENTA system, supplied additional equipment for the stadium’s infrastructure, and adapted it to FIS requirements.
Key Project Components
- SEACS LENTA. Deployed on a fault-tolerant server cluster, the system manages spectator access control equipment.
- Access Point Equipment. A total of 73 passage lanes served by full-height turnstiles and gates were fitted with interactive control modules and monitoring devices in accordance with FIS requirements.
- Flagman Lite Smart Turnstile. Infomatika designed and manufactured a bespoke waist-height turnstile for athletes and accredited personnel, adapted to FIS requirements.
- Information Security Subsystem. Additional information security measures were implemented to meet the requirements of the upgraded system.
Integration
SEACS LENTA is integrated with the Fan Identification System. A threat model and an adversary model were also developed to meet information security requirements.
Under these requirements, fans, organizers, media representatives, and even players are only allowed to enter the stadium upon presentation of a Fan Card to ensure maximum security during matches.
The upgrade was carried out in accordance with Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs Order No. 1092 dated November 17, 2015, and Russian Ministry of Sport Order No. 676 dated August 22, 2022.
