The Aquatics Palace is one of Russia’s largest indoor sports complexes, located on the right bank of the Kazanka River. With seating for 3,600 spectators, the venue features three pools—a competition pool, a training pool, and a diving pool—as well as sports training halls, a press center, and other supporting facilities.
Built for the 27th Summer Universiade in 2013, the palace hosted swimming, synchronized swimming, and diving competitions. It subsequently hosted other major international events, including the 2015 World Aquatics Championships. Before the venue opened, it required automated ticket sales and spectator access control.
