Comprehensive Implementation of the Lenta Automated Ticketing and Access Control System at the New Ice Arena
Implemented in 2026
In 2026, a new 12,000-seat ice arena opened in Nizhny Novgorod. It became the home venue of Torpedo Hockey Club and is designed to host KHL games, figure skating, basketball, gymnastics, martial arts and other sporting events. Its architectural and technological concept allows the venue to be easily transformed for concerts, exhibitions, forums and other large-scale events. The project was implemented under a concession agreement with the participation of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation.
Infomatika was responsible for the following tasks:
- Implement a ticketing and access control system;
- Equip the arena’s entrances with access control equipment;
- Ensure convenient access for visitors with reduced mobility and those with strollers;
- Enable additional ticket verification using mobile terminals;
- Set up automated workstations for staff;
- Integrate the system with external ticketing agents and information systems.
Infomatika specialists implemented the LENTA automated ticketing and access control system at the venue, covering ticket sales and visitor access control. As part of the project, the arena’s entrances were equipped with smart turnstiles and smart gates, while mobile ticket validation terminals and staff workstation equipment were also supplied.
- LENTA Automated Ticketing and Access Control System. The system covers every stage of the visitor journey, from purchasing a ticket to entering the stands. For spectators, it enables convenient ticket purchases through the arena’s website or ticketing operators, mobile e-tickets and entry through the turnstiles in just a few seconds.
- Vector Plus Smart Turnstiles. Installed at the arena’s entrances, the turnstiles are made of stainless steel and tempered glass. They feature card, barcode and QR code readers, IP cameras and displays showing access status. The turnstiles support multi-factor identification.
Vector Gate Smart Gates. Designed to provide convenient access for visitors with reduced mobility and those with strollers. The gates support multi-factor identification and integration with external systems. - Lenta-TSD Mobile Terminals. Used by stewards as supplementary access control devices for ticket validation.
