LANIT JSC, Moscow
Equipping the entrance area of one of Russia’s largest IT companies with Flagman Lite smart access control turnstiles.
Implemented in 2024
LANIT is one of Russia’s largest IT companies, specializing in the development, implementation, and support of information systems and technology solutions. The company delivers comprehensive IT projects for major corporate and government customers.
The office’s main entrance previously used turnstiles with limited functionality. The equipment slowed down user access, while visitors using temporary passes had to perform additional steps. The Customer therefore initiated an upgrade of the entrance area, replacing the existing turnstiles with equipment designed to automate temporary pass handling and improve the overall access experience.
Following the equipment selection and testing process, Infomatika was chosen to implement the project.
Infomatika was tasked with the following objectives:
- Modernize the access control equipment at the office’s main entrance;
- Support multiple types of access credentials;
- Streamline visitor access using temporary passes and automate the collection of temporary access cards.
As part of the project, Infomatika replaced the outdated entrance area equipment and implemented automated handling of temporary visitor passes.
Key Project Components:
- Flagman Lite Smart Turnstiles. Swing-gate smart turnstiles are equipped with multi-format readers supporting physical access cards and contactless identification technologies. To maintain operation during power outages, the turnstiles feature LiFePO4 battery-based uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) with a stated maintenance-free service life of up to 15 years.
- Access Card Collectors. Integrated into the smart turnstiles, the card collectors automatically retrieve temporary visitor access cards. When leaving the facility, visitors simply insert their temporary card into the collector, allowing the card to be returned as part of the exit process without any additional steps.
- Concept DUO Automated Smart Gates. Installed as part of the entrance area to provide accessible passage for visitors with reduced mobility.
- Fencing System. Creates a controlled entrance area and guides users through the access control equipment.
Integration
The new turnstiles were integrated with the existing access control system (ACS) without requiring the replacement of any existing system components. This was particularly important, as all existing ACS operating algorithms and access control processes remained unchanged.
Scope of Work:
Manufacturing, delivery, and installation of Flagman Lite smart turnstiles — 7 lanes (8 units);
Manufacturing, delivery, and installation of Concept DUO automated smart gates — 2 units;
