Prioksky Non-Ferrous Metals Plant JSC, Kasimov

Modernization of the manufacturing facility’s access control system based on Flagman Lite smart turnstiles.

Implemented in 2024.
Prioksky Non-Ferrous Metals Plant is one of the leading companies in Russia’s precious metals refining industry. The plant specializes in the processing and refining of precious metals and works with more than 400 mining and processing companies across 48 regions of Russia. The nature of its operations places particularly high demands on access control and security at the facility.

The facility previously used outdated tripod turnstiles that no longer met modern security and design requirements. The plant needed to upgrade its access control equipment and introduce new technologies to ensure fast and convenient access for employees and visitors.

Infomatika was tasked with the following objectives:

  • Completely replace the outdated turnstiles with modern smart access control equipment manufactured by Infomatika;
  • Enable cardless employee access using biometric identification;
  • Integrate the new equipment with the facility’s existing Sigur access control system.
    • To implement the project, Infomatika developed a solution with separate access scenarios for employees and visitors, using biometric identification at the main security checkpoint lanes.

        Key Project Components:

        • Flagman Lite Smart Turnstiles. Swing-gate smart turnstiles in a customized configuration with gate leaves increased to 1.5 meters in height are installed at the security checkpoint. For cardless employee access, the turnstiles are equipped with integrated BioSmart PalmJet palm vein scanners. Identification is performed contactlessly using each person’s unique palm vein pattern, eliminating the need for an access card or other physical credential. The device can identify users even with wet or slightly soiled hands, minor cuts, or while wearing thin medical gloves.
        • Vector Smart Turnstile. Installed at the security checkpoint to provide visitor access using physical credentials. This separates access scenarios at the entrance: employees use biometric identification, while visitors use physical access credentials.
        • Fencing System. Creates a controlled entrance area and guides users through the installed access control equipment.

        Integration

        The smart turnstiles are integrated with the facility’s existing Sigur access control system. Employee biometric identification is performed using BioSmart PalmJet palm vein scanners integrated into the Flagman Lite smart turnstiles.
