Equipping the educational institution with a modern access control system based on Contour Bio smart turnstiles with integrated IP cameras for facial recognition.


Implemented in 2021

Adymnar-Aktanysh Multilingual Boarding Gymnasium opened in the village of Aktanysh in August 2021 and became the fourth educational institution in the Adymnar network in the Republic of Tatarstan. The gymnasium has a capacity of 462 students, with instruction provided in Russian, Tatar, and English. The institution combines a general education school with a boarding school for gifted children.

When equipping the gymnasium, it was necessary to implement a modern access control system incorporating biometric identification and contactless temperature screening


Infomatika was tasked with the following objectives:

  • Implement access control at the gymnasium entrance area;
  • Enable student access using facial recognition;
  • Provide visitor access using MIFARE contactless cards;
  • Enable contactless temperature screening as people pass through the entrance area.


As part of the project, Infomatika equipped the gymnasium entrance area with access control equipment, implementing separate access methods for students and visitors.


Key Project Components:

  • Contour Bio Smart Turnstiles. Waist-high swing-gate smart turnstiles provide controlled access through the entrance area. Students enter using facial biometrics, while visitors use MIFARE contactless cards.
  • Thermal Imaging System. Provides contactless body temperature screening of people as they pass through the entrance area.


Integration

For biometric identification, the smart turnstiles are equipped with integrated IP cameras and connected to the VisionLabs facial recognition system. The system identifies each person entering the facility and determines whether access through the turnstile should be granted. The project was implemented in collaboration with technology partner VisionLabs.
