New Turnstiles for the Moscow Metro’s Rublyovo-Arkhangelskaya Line
M2030 Smart Turnstiles on the Rublyovo-Arkhangelskaya Line: A New Stage in the Modernization of Moscow Metro Infrastructure
Moscow, September 5, 2026 — On Moscow City Day, a landmark event in the capital’s transport history took place as President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin opened the first section of the Moscow Metro’s Rublyovo-Arkhangelskaya Line.
As part of the launch, three new stations — Zvenigorodskaya, Narodnoye Opolcheniye, and Bulvar Generala Karbysheva — entered service, equipped with M2030 smart turnstiles manufactured by Infomatika. For the first time, Infomatika’s equipment has been integrated into the infrastructure of new Moscow Metro stations from the moment they opened to passengers.
The first 8.7-kilometer section comprises five stations, including Delovoy Tsentr and Shelepikha, which were previously part of the Bolshaya Koltsevaya Line (Big Circle Line). Installation of M2030 smart turnstiles at Delovoy Tsentr was completed earlier, on June 16, 2026.
The M2030 smart turnstile was developed specifically for the Moscow Metro and is designed to operate under intensive passenger traffic. Its compact design integrates key functional components, while intuitive payment and biometric identification zones, together with a clear light indication system, ensure convenient and efficient passenger flow. The turnstile’s ergonomic design is engineered for intensive daily operation.
The Rublyovo-Arkhangelskaya Line has become the 17th line of the Moscow Metro. Its launch has provided five districts of the capital with connections to the Solntsevskaya, Filyovskaya, and Bolshaya Koltsevaya lines, as well as the Moscow Central Circle. The project has improved transport accessibility for more than 550,000 residents, with passenger traffic on the new section expected to exceed 90,000 trips per day.
The installation of turnstiles on the Rublyovo-Arkhangelskaya Line is part of a large-scale program to modernize the Moscow Metro’s turnstile infrastructure. In 2026, M2030 smart turnstiles will be deployed at 25 stations across the Moscow Metro network.
