New turnstiles for Mosmetro at Nizhny Novgorod station

On December 20, 2025, smart turnstiles of the M2030 series manufactured by Infomatika were put into operation at Terminal No. 1 of the Nizhny Novgorod City railway station in Moscow. The introduction of new equipment has become part of a project to modernize the capital's transport infrastructure on a large scale.

The launch of the equipment at the station was announced by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin. Nizhny Novgorod was chosen as the first site for the implementation of new format solutions due to its high passenger traffic and status as one of the largest transfer hubs in the city.

The installed turnstiles of the new generation are characterized by high throughput and compact design. The speed of the new equipment is 20% higher compared to the previous equipment, which allows to increase the throughput of the input groups up to 40%.

The design implements the most modern user scenarios: a light indication of the payment status, a vibration response to confirm passage, as well as the possibility of reverse operation — with an operational change in the "entrance/exit" direction depending on the current load on the station. Smart turnstiles support all current payment methods, including a virtual Troika, a quick payment system, and biometric identification. The equipment was designed taking into account the development of biometric services in the Moscow transport system.

In 2026, smart turnstiles of the M2030 series are planned to be installed at 25 metro stations, and by the end of 2031 — more than 4,500 units at metro, MCC and MCD facilities.
