CSKA Universal Sports complex, Moscow

Comprehensive equipment of the sports complex with LENTA ticketing system.
Providing CSKA professional basketball club with a ticketing system.

Implemented in 2016
The Alexander Gomelsky CSKA Sports Complex is one of Moscow’s landmark sports venues built for the 1980 Summer Olympic Games. Its main arena accommodates 4,500 spectators and serves as the home court for CSKA’s senior and youth basketball teams, as well as teams competing in the youth basketball league. The complex also houses the CSKA sports school for basketball, volleyball, and futsal.

The project required a modern ticketing and access control system for CSKA basketball games, including online sales of tickets and season passes. The club also needed tools to manage individual and group sales, seat reservations, and ticket quotas.

Infomatika was responsible for the following tasks:

  • Automate ticket and season pass sales for CSKA basketball games.
  • Organize online ticket sales through the club’s official website.
  • Enable management of a shared ticket inventory across multiple sales channels.
  • Provide tools for managing seat reservations, quotas, and group bookings.
  • Organize spectator access control for sporting events.
Infomatika implemented the LENTA-Sports Palace ticketing and access control hardware and software system and deployed a ticketing system for CSKA Professional Basketball Club. The solution combined ticket and season pass sales, ticket inventory management, and spectator access control.

A key feature of the project was the ability to sell tickets through multiple channels without allocating inventory quotas to each channel in advance. Tickets became available simultaneously through the sports complex’s box offices, city ticket offices, the club’s online store, and ticket operators, including Rambler-Kassa. The system also supports additional sales channels selected by the club.

Key Project Components

  • LENTA-Sports Palace Ticketing and Access Control System. Automates ticketing processes, manages ticket inventory, and controls spectator access to sporting events.
  • LENTA Linea Pro Handheld Ticket Scanners. Used to validate tickets and control spectator entry.
  • Online Ticket Store. Developed and launched on CSKA Professional Basketball Club’s official website for online sales of tickets to the club’s games.

Integration

The ticketing system supports sales through external channels, including city ticket offices and Rambler-Kassa. The sales network can be expanded by connecting additional ticket operators, box office locations, and mobile applications.

System Management Infrastructure

The project included a server node and six automated staff workstations: two cashier workstations and four manager workstations.
