Ufa Arena Sports Complex, Ufa

Ufa Arena is a multifunctional sports and concert complex in Ufa and the largest sports facility with artificial ice in the Republic of Bashkortostan. With a capacity of 8,070 spectators, it is the home arena of Salavat Yulaev, one of Russia’s most decorated hockey clubs.

The project required a modern ticketing and access control system, an upgrade of fixed access control equipment, and online sales of tickets and season passes for Salavat Yulaev Hockey Club.

Infomatika was responsible for the following tasks:

• Automate ticket and season pass sales.
• Organize spectator access control for sporting events and concerts.
• Adapt the existing turnstile infrastructure for use with the ticketing and access control system.
• Organize online sales of tickets and season passes for Salavat Yulaev Hockey Club.
• Integrate the ticketing system with the club’s CRM system.
• Enable entry using mobile electronic tickets with QR codes.
• Equip the server node and automated staff workstations.

Infomatika equipped Ufa Arena with the LENTA ticketing and access control hardware and software system and deployed a ticketing system for Salavat Yulaev Hockey Club. A distinctive feature of the project was the adaptation of the existing turnstile infrastructure: Infomatika developed a dedicated reader supporting several credential types for the KABA waist-height turnstiles already installed at the venue.

Key Project Components

• LENTA Ticketing and Access Control System. Automates ticketing processes and controls spectator access to events at the sports complex.
• Readers for KABA Turnstiles. Developed specifically for the venue’s existing waist-height turnstiles, these readers support barcodes, MIFARE contactless cards, and MasterCard PayPass.
• Mobile Electronic Ticket. A mobile-compatible electronic ticket with a QR code was developed for the project. After purchasing a ticket through the online store, fans can save the QR code on their smartphones and scan it at the turnstile without a printed ticket.
• Salavat Yulaev Online Ticket Store. Developed for online sales of tickets and season passes to the club’s events.

Integration

An integration module was developed to connect LENTA, the online ticket store, and Salavat Yulaev’s CRM system, enabling data exchange between the club’s ticketing services.

The project included a server node and nine automated staff workstations: five cashier workstations, two administrator workstations, and two ticket resolution team workstations.

• Development of readers for existing KABA waist-height turnstiles, supporting barcodes, MIFARE contactless cards, and MasterCard PayPass.
• Development and launch of an online store for tickets and season passes for Salavat Yulaev Hockey Club.
• Development of an integration module connecting LENTA, the online store, and the club’s CRM system.
• Development of a mobile-compatible electronic ticket with a QR code.
• Supply and installation of server node equipment.
• Setup of automated staff workstations: five cashier workstations, two administrator workstations, and two ticket resolution team workstations.

2022 Upgrade

In 2022, Infomatika upgraded Ufa Arena’s ticketing and access control system. The work included updates to the system software and online ticket store, with a revised layout and design and support for an English-language version.

As part of the fixed access control equipment upgrade, the complex’s entrances were equipped with 31 Vector Plus smart turnstiles and two Vector Gate smart gates. Four mobile data collection terminals and an evacuation control unit were also supplied. The spectator access control equipment complies with the requirements of the Fan Identification System (FIS).
