Ali Aliyev Palace of Sports, Kaspiysk

The Ali Aliyev Sports and Youth Palace in Kaspiysk is the largest indoor sports facility in the North Caucasus Federal District. Covering 17,000 square meters, the multifunctional complex accommodates 5,000 spectators, with the option to increase capacity to 6,000. It hosts regional, national, and international sporting competitions.

In 2018, the sports palace became one of the key venues for the European Wrestling Championships. Preparations for the international competition required an upgrade of the ticketing and access control infrastructure to improve security, provide controlled spectator access, and enhance ticketing services.

Infomatika was responsible for the following tasks:

• Implement a ticketing and access control system to support international competitions;
• Provide controlled spectator access through the sports palace’s entrances;
• Provide access for visitors with reduced mobility and emergency evacuation routes;
• Automate box office operations and establish system management infrastructure;
• Enable online ticket sales for events at the sports palace.

As part of preparations for the European Wrestling Championships, Infomatika comprehensively equipped the sports palace with the LENTA automated ticketing and access control system. The project covered the entire ticketing infrastructure, from sales through box offices and the online store to ticket validation as spectators enter the arena.

Key Project Components

• LENTA Automated Ticketing and Access Control System. Automates ticket sales and validates ticket use as spectators enter sporting events.
• Horizon Waist-Height Turnstiles. Provide controlled passage lanes at the sports palace’s entrances.
• Emergency Exit Gates and Barriers. Complement the entrance infrastructure, providing passageways for visitors with reduced mobility and emergency evacuation.
• Online Ticket Store. Enables visitors to purchase event tickets through the sports palace’s official website.

System Management Infrastructure

Server infrastructure was installed to support the ticketing and access control system. Four automated staff workstations were set up: 2 cashier workstations, 1 manager workstation, and 1 security workstation.

Scope of Supply:

1. Deployment of the LENTA automated ticketing and access control hardware and software system at Ali Aliyev Sports Palace, including:

   • Manufacture and installation of Horizon pedestal-type waist-height turnstiles — 19 units;
   • Installation of barriers and emergency exit gates providing access for visitors with reduced mobility — 16 units;
   • Installation of server infrastructure and staff workstation equipment: 2 cashier workstations, 1 manager workstation, and 1 security workstation.

2. Development and launch of an online ticket store on the sports palace’s website.
